Rhodes Financial Gives Back
AUGUSTA, Georgia (October 4, 2011) – Monday October 3rd, Rhodes Financial Services welcomed 133 golfers to Champions Retreat Golf Club in Evans, GA for its Eighth Annual Guardian Cup Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Safe Homes of Augusta.
Great weather greeted the golfers for an 18 hole captains choice format. The team of John Boone, Tripp Kuhlke, Bill Gibbs, and Barry Storey won the tournament following a three team shootout style finale.
Following the round, a dinner was catered by K+J Longhorns BBQ from Aiken, SC and Mots BBQ of Augusta, GA. Following the dinner and raffle prizes, Jimmy Rhodes, president of Rhodes Financial, along with co-owners Carl Rhodes and Zane Christopher, presented a check on behalf of the Guardian Cup and its many wonderful sponsors. Aimee Hall, Executive Director of SafeHomes, graciously accepted a check for proceeds from the tournament totaling a whopping $90,000.
“SafeHomes provides an unbelievable service to the CSRA and their impact is truly outstanding.” said Daniel Eubanks, Tournament Chairman. “We consider ourselves lucky to support such a worthy cause and look forward to continue to do so in the future. The event was an outstanding success and we couldn’t be more thrilled.”
Aimee Hall, Executive Director of SafeHomes was visibly moved by the contribution: “This is absolutely amazing and it hasn’t completely sunk in yet. I can’t thank the group at Rhodes Financial enough. The same goes for the sponsors, players, and volunteers as well. We will be forever grateful.”
In the 8 year history of the Guardian Cup, Rhodes Financial has succeeded in raising over $200,000 for Safe Homes.
