People often ask us, “what about the kids who come to your shelter?” “Do they still go to school or are they homeschooled?”
So yes, these kids are still faced with the many things that all kids face – they go to school, have homework, try to make friends….but too many are carrying much bigger burdens that they don’t even have control over.
And this is why the programs we provide are so critical. SafeHomes is more than just a shelter or outreach facility. We’re helping families break the cycle of violence by assisting with legal matters, emotional healing, and yes, a safe home.
